About

I was born obsessed with writing.

In first grade, I was gifted a toy typewriter and spent many long hours copying children's novels onto blank pages. By third grade, I was writing my own novel entitled, "The Creature from Willow Creek" (unpublished). My school notebooks were filled with short stories. I entered writing contests and even won some small cash prizes.

My high school years were filled with poetry, both angsty and comical. I upgraded my typewriter to an IBM electric.

In college, I explored new ways to write and further honed my existing skills. Now with a laptop computer, I earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Journalism/Public Relations.

In 2003, I officially embarked on a writing career, and have since become a Swiss Army Knife for the written word in all its forms. I became a self-taught designer and often couple writing and design in my freelance work.

In my spare time, you can most likely find me at a football field, basketball court or baseball diamond, supporting my two boys in their athletic endeavors.

I enjoy traveling when I get the chance, preferably to someplace balmy and tropical, although I have been to Alaska and Norway is on my bucket list.
